21st | Outfit No.1

Hi Everyone,

So i didn't realise how intense second year at uni was going to be... I've been over consumed with work, more work, presentations, work, and did i mention work? Any spare time i've had i've been relaxing from all of this stress so blogging has sadly been pushed aside for priorities at the moment.
However it is very nearly my 21st birthday! And i celebrated early this weekend with my family and thought i'd share what i wore.

 Dress: Topshop
Bag: New Look
Shoes: Carvela Kurt Geiger £95

This photo does the shoes little justice, they are super sparkly and honestly replicas of Cinderellas slippers, but thankfully not made out of glass.. Although they are difficult to walk in with there being no platform and the extended pointed toe doesn't really bend, do i care when they are this pretty? Nope. I would happily limp around if it meant i could wear these on my feet.

Haul | H&M and ASOS

Hi Everyone,

ASOS
I went shopping which i probably shouldn't have done because i'm a student that's now paying bills, but i bought my first ever purchase from ASOS so thought i'd share. I waited for this jumper to come back into stock because i loved it so much, i have a thing about collars and this was just my style.

It was £25 , black knit with a white lace collar, i wore this over the top of a floral printed dress, but really want to buy a leather skirt to go with this jumper. (As seen on the Asos website.)

The make-up i did for this look was just using my Chanel Foundation ( Vitalumiere Aqua) in shade 20, and just a simple eye with winged liner, with shade 05 Kate Moss lipstick.

H&M

I then bought two new dresses from H&M. One i will blog later but this one i took some changing room pictures and i absolutely love it! It comes in Red and Black and pretty sure it's the new season stock because it was right by the door.

£29.99

Holiday in Morzine | Hiking Outfits

Hi everyone!

So recently i spent two weeks in Morzine, France, which for anyone who doesn't know is in the Alps!
The weather was half and half, the first week was pretty rainy and the weather as a whole was similar to England so i didn't really get a tan at all :(
On the better weather days we made the most of it and did a hell of a lot of walking and hikes. The scenery is amazing so it made sense to go out and see it all and benefit from some fresh air and exercise at the same time. I hate walking boots with an extreme passion, i never want to buy some, they are the ugliest shoes ever and i refuse to spend so much money on such an ugly item that i will probably never wear.

Hiking and walking therefore is always difficult to look 'nice' for as technically you're not really meant too haha, but below are three outfits that i wore whilst out walking and they worked perfectly! (Also a shoe recommendation)

Outfit 1:

In this outfit i am wearing a coral coloured bardot top which is from River Island, i love this style of top and i feel the neckline is really flattering for my body shape. I matched it with some shorts from H&M (see my black and yellow blog post to see this better) which are white with black polka dots pattern. To match the shorts i opted for my River Island white rimmed sunglasses, and to match my black lace up boots (only from New Look for £20! No hiking boots needed) i chose a black plain cardigan to keep me warm when going up to higher ground levels.
P.S - These boots seriously are so good for outdoors, i also took these to Canada when it was snowing and they are 100% Waterproof and Mudproof and i didn't get a single blister. Don't underestimate high street boots!

Outfit 2:

Here i am wearing some cream crochet detailed shorts from zara, with a plain strappy white top. I bought this new thin over top from River Island, to use as an extra bit of warmth and also looks really good to layer with! This one is black, my other one is a fuschia pink and it is also available in a mustard yellow colour. They are so handy and light, and i love the triangle cut out at the back. I matched it up with a cream crochet handbag to match the shorts, my usual black boots, and some tortoise shell sunglasses. (Check out the views!)

Outfit 3:

Here again i am wearing the H&M black and white shorts, but i opted for my Pink over top from River Island. I think it looks so nice with the white sunglasses and the black boots give it an extra bit of edge. I felt my hair suited being tied up for this one, not sure why.

So there are my three hiking outfit choices! You can pretty much wear anything but always make sure you have sensible shoes, and don't wear jeans. They are way too heavy material and you'll just get hot and they rub so badly! Shorts are the best bet, even if it's a little cold you will warm up with the exercise!

Jean Paul Gaultier | The Barbican London

Firstly i'd like to apologise again for my lack of blogging recently. Since getting my new job i've been working full time and really haven't found the spare moment to type up a blog post! I have also recently joined a gym so i've been going after work and then just being knackered when i get in.

I have been veryyy busy indeed recently, been travelling over the UK it seems, visiting people from uni, visiting friends, visiting family. But i thought this would be a good thing to blog about!

The weekend 7th-8th June, i went to London for the day and attended the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion exhibition show. I had a lovely time, and it was so affordable at only £9 for a student ticket! You get an allocated time slot to look round so that it's never too busy at one time, allowing you to actually be able to see the outfits and take your time looking. The exhibition was set up in the Barbican in London, and i'm not sure how long the exhibition is lasting.

The exhibition featured many of Jean Paul's designs, for celebrities, for weddings, different subcultures such as gothic clothing, punk clothing, nautical clothing. There were so many things to look at and amazing outfits that i took plenty of photos off.

These are the well known corsets designed for and featured by Madonna. These corsets were the actual ones worn by Madonna herself and were a must to photograph!

This was worn by Kylie Minouge

I'm sorry if the photo's aren't very good quality, i took them all on my iphone and i wasn't allowed to use flash within the exhibition. The exhibition was prettyyy dark so my iphone hasn't done too badly! I don't actually own or have the money for a camera at the moment, and i don't really want one that badly so photo's on my blog will be on my iphone until i begin to reallyyyy want to buy a camera. (and have the money to do so).

After the exhibition i went shopping on Oxford Street which i would highly advise NOT to do on a saturday at 2 in the afternoon. It was horrendously busy, and every single item of clothing within Miss Selfridge had make-up on it. Girls were everywhere, you were pushed around, it was disgustingly hot, just please do not do this.

I found shopping in the big Selfridges department store a lot less stressful and more spacious and they actually have a miss selfridge within the store so i was happy!

I have been a sucker for Kurt Geiger lately and at the moment have 4 pairs, so my next blog post will probably be showing which ones i have :)

Frilly shorts and crochet | Forever 21

Hello everyone!

So you may have seen my last post, and i can happily say i was successful with the job and am now in full-time work! Because of this i am out all day monday to friday and therefore can only really use the weekend (if i'm around) to blog! I've suddenly became very busy and apologise to my readers, i can't believe there's 17 of you already! I had 1 only a couple of days ago, it has gone up quickly and i really appreciate you taking the time to read.

If you follow my instagram , you will have seen people have wanted me to do a haul. I bought SO much on a shopping trip to westfield. Little did i know a three storey forever 21 was in the shopping centre, and being my first time in a forver 21 i went a little mad and was amazed at how affordable the place is!

I've decided to do my haul in parts as otherwise this blog post will be extremely long and i also need time to come up with outfits in order to show you the pieces i bought.

I have started with two pairs of shorts. I have never worn this style of short before, i've seen similar styles online and when i saw them in the shop i decided to try them on and see how it looked. For once something actually fitted my ridiculous sized waist (its like 24 inches) and the patterns were so gorgeous so it would have been stupid not to buy! (valid excuse.)

Here is the first pair i have decided to style with a plain black strappy top and a crochet styled waistcoat:

  These shorts are super pretty!
Shorts: Forever 21 £7.50
Crochet : New Look (Parisian Limited edition)
Strappy top: Marks & Spencer £8
Shoes: Primark £6
Sunglasses: River Island £10

I was so pleased with these shorts that i then went and picked up another pair in a different style:

These ones are navy with a floral pattern running through them and are equally as gorgeous.
Shorts: Forever 21 £11.50 (don't know why these were more expensive)
Top: New Look , Cant remember price
Sunglasses: River Island £10

As i bought so many things, keep posted and more outfits featuring my new purchases will be uploaded each weekend!

What to wear to a job interview? | Pinks and Florals

Hi everyone! So today i had a job interview and i wore an outfit that i had previously worn, remembering how much i loved it all together and how smart it looked!.
When you hear the word interview you automatically think suited and booted which really isn't the case, yes you have to dress smart but you are allowed to bring in your own style, you look boring otherwise and you're there to impress!

I have just recently bought this absolutely stunning blazer from River Island, i am so so in love with it and it's in my favourite colour ever! The picture has made it look more peach than it is, it's a lovely pink shade.
Available at this link if you wish to purchase! :

 http://www.riverisland.com/women/coats--jackets/blazers/Pink-inverted-collar-blazer-654727

It's currently retailed at £45.00 and feels so lovely to wear.

The top is from Miss Selfridge in the petite range, and is a really pretty floral print cami top with ruffles along the top, front and back.
The top is currently sold out, but if you want a closer look you can find it here:

http://www.polyvore.com/miss_selfridge_petites_romantic_frill/thing?id=105362633

I have found the exact same top except its just plain pink with no print, which is still available if you wish to buy!

http://www.missselfridge.com/en/msuk/product/petites-299051/petite-tops-299083/petites-coral-overlay-cami-2917079?bi=1&ps=40

Remember these are from the petite range, i have hardly any body length so i need these to be shorter.

I simply paired the two items together with some plain black leggings from H&M, and my generic new look handbag (so old i need to throw it away) which was £20.
To complete the look i wore my new pumps from Primark, a huge bargain at only £4-£6 pound! These shoes are a lovely style, although it's a pointed toe, they are extremely comfortable and fit my wider feet. Very smart shoes for an interview, without looking too casual.

I hope this has helped you if you ever come across an occasion that you need to dress smartly for!
