Holiday in Morzine | Hiking Outfits

Hi everyone!

So recently i spent two weeks in Morzine, France, which for anyone who doesn't know is in the Alps!
The weather was half and half, the first week was pretty rainy and the weather as a whole was similar to England so i didn't really get a tan at all :(
On the better weather days we made the most of it and did a hell of a lot of walking and hikes. The scenery is amazing so it made sense to go out and see it all and benefit from some fresh air and exercise at the same time. I hate walking boots with an extreme passion, i never want to buy some, they are the ugliest shoes ever and i refuse to spend so much money on such an ugly item that i will probably never wear.

Hiking and walking therefore is always difficult to look 'nice' for as technically you're not really meant too haha, but below are three outfits that i wore whilst out walking and they worked perfectly! (Also a shoe recommendation)

Outfit 1:

In this outfit i am wearing a coral coloured bardot top which is from River Island, i love this style of top and i feel the neckline is really flattering for my body shape. I matched it with some shorts from H&M (see my black and yellow blog post to see this better) which are white with black polka dots pattern. To match the shorts i opted for my River Island white rimmed sunglasses, and to match my black lace up boots (only from New Look for £20! No hiking boots needed) i chose a black plain cardigan to keep me warm when going up to higher ground levels.
P.S - These boots seriously are so good for outdoors, i also took these to Canada when it was snowing and they are 100% Waterproof and Mudproof and i didn't get a single blister. Don't underestimate high street boots!

Outfit 2:

Here i am wearing some cream crochet detailed shorts from zara, with a plain strappy white top. I bought this new thin over top from River Island, to use as an extra bit of warmth and also looks really good to layer with! This one is black, my other one is a fuschia pink and it is also available in a mustard yellow colour. They are so handy and light, and i love the triangle cut out at the back. I matched it up with a cream crochet handbag to match the shorts, my usual black boots, and some tortoise shell sunglasses. (Check out the views!)

Outfit 3:

Here again i am wearing the H&M black and white shorts, but i opted for my Pink over top from River Island. I think it looks so nice with the white sunglasses and the black boots give it an extra bit of edge. I felt my hair suited being tied up for this one, not sure why.

So there are my three hiking outfit choices! You can pretty much wear anything but always make sure you have sensible shoes, and don't wear jeans. They are way too heavy material and you'll just get hot and they rub so badly! Shorts are the best bet, even if it's a little cold you will warm up with the exercise!
